Today we did an activity with eggs. We took a brown egg and a white egg and compared them. We made estimations if they are the same inside. Then we cracked them open and realized that they look exactly the same inside. We compared this to people and how we all look different but are the same inside. We all have feelings and want to be liked and accepted. Jesus loved everyone the and encouraged us to do the same. We discussed how important it is to be kind to everyone even though they might be different. We also each created our own section for a class quilt out of felt. Enjoy! Making letters with play doh Today we reversed roles and they pushed me on the swings. WEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
This week we are learning about Martin Luther King Jr. We read the book The Crayon Box That Talked, sang a new song, observed ourselves in a mirror and drew a self portrait, made friendship trail mix and sorted it and plenty more. They had to find the missing number and add it Letter Matching Scooping ping pongs and matching their shape, number or letter They made the trail mix, sorted it and of course they had to eat some after all that hard work. Self Portraits Cutting Practice

This week is about penguins. We skated on waxed paper and realized how slippery it must be on the ice for penguins. We learned a new song, played an ice melting game, made glue and salt art pieces, graphed whether we can swim or not, read a book about penguins and more. Cutting pipe cleaners Slipping and sliding on waxed paper It took about five minutes but they were determined to make their ice melt. We realized what makes ice melt faster. Salt and glue art Today we had a visit from Mr. John with Critterville. We met a bumble bee millipede, a red-footed tortoise, a snake and a turtle. The hot chocolate station was a huge hit today. We've got our third birthday ornament on our tree now. It's less Charlie Brownieish (know this isn't a word)! Friendly had some great fun with A. Happy Birthday!
Mrs. Miriam set up this picnic while we were at chapel. They were so surprised and wondered if the teddy bears did it. I sure do love these children. Here is a look into their day! We did a non standard measuring activity with bear counters. They made some pretty good predictions about how long they thought things were. Drilling Bears in a cave Painting by number Icebergs and bears in the sensory tub They are really starting to see what their bodies are capable of doing. You can never get off the slide fast enough
This week we are studying bears. We learned a new song, patterned, sorted, graphed and tasted gummy bears, painted a polar bear with puffy paint, read some books and more. Sorting bears by color Patterning with gummy bears At circle time we played a game called Bear, Bear Where Is Your Underwear. They had to tell me a number and then flip that number over to help bear find his underwear. Of course they thought this was the funniest thing ever.
Friday was so much fun! We finished up with owls by weighing with them, counting them, reading a non- fiction book with facts about them, did a least and most activity, a positional word song, open ended owl art and much more. I hope they are coming home and telling you all about it but if not hopefully these pictures will spark up some conversations. Have a blessed evening! See you on Wednesday! They worked in their journals covering the first letter of their name with stickers. Open ended art using clothespins and cotton balls using owl colors There was some kind of transaction going on here And here.........with a dragon and a cold doctor (our room has been cold lately) We did a weighing activity and talked about the work equal
