We discussed some of the animals that live there and why it's important to conserve our water.

Who knew scooping cornmeal could be so fun (it's a great fine motor and hand eye coordinating acvitity) Painting turkey's by number Search and Find Thanksgiving Bingo We made butter with whipping cream and a whole lot of shaking. They worked with partners and took turns shaking it.
Yesterday was all kinds of crazy pumpkin FUN!!! We started with reading about the pumpkin life cycle and here are the rest of our activities: -Put pumpkins in order from largest to smallest -Sang about five little pumpkins -Measured pumpkins -Predicted if they would sink or float and tested it -Painted pumpkins -Played a dice game making jack-o-lanterns -Organized our pumpkins -Did a positional word activity with pumpkins Enjoy the pics! Corn plucking is a great fine motor activity and they were engaged doing this for a long time Corn painting at the easel Slicing cranberries in Life Skills Making cranberry and marshmallow sculptures with toothpicks in Life Skills Feather Snipping Making bead necklaces to wear to our feast on Friday Storytime Playing turkey, turkey, turkey, gobble Last Wednesday we read about a silly turkey, did The Turkey Pokey, pour painted over pinecones and made turkey's in our journals. Sorry for the delay in posting these.
Play-doh turkey's Scooping bird seed in the sensory tub Turkey, turkey where you at? They had to show me which had the most and which had the least. This is a concept we work on often. We did a positional game with turkey's. I sang a song and the had to place the turkey (under ,over, beside, etc. the tree) Feather painting They had to spin the spinner and place that many pieces of corn on the turkey's with tongs(feeding the turkey's)
