Hi families! Well we have another fun day down in the books. Today we: read about a silly hedgehog that got an apple stuck on his back, did an apple action song, wrote in applesauce, did some science experimenting and more. Check out your cuties in action. Bobbing for apples (only not like we did it as kids...lol) Apple seed counting (they had to roll the die and place that number of seeds on the apple cutout). This is not only a counting activity but one-to-one correspondence and fine motor as well. We did some experimenting with chemical reactions. We used baking soda, colored vinegar, eye droppers and mini spoons. They absolutely loved it! We wrote letters and numbers in applesauce. This was a great sensory experience and they didn't even know they were learning. Dotting apples with paint and Q-tips They often tell me that school is hard work and my response is "yes school is hard work, we are here to stretch our brains". They had to match up the colored clothespin to the color dot on the cd. Some have different ideas. "Look Mrs. April I made a mask". I love these imaginations. What do you do when it's raining and you can't go outside? You play duck, duck, goose on the indoor playground. ........and slide every which way of course
