Apple pie a la mode Silverware Sorting Check out these fun turkey snacks that we enjoyed! Thank you S for bringing them in to share! We used Indian corn squishy bags to practice letter writing. Making homemade butter for our feast!
They practiced writing letters in salt with feathers and their fingers. Deer Corn Some days school just wipes a kid out! They are having quite the birthday celebration in this picture. We painted with eye droppers on coffee filters today. It was neat to watch the liquid being absorbed and watching the color spread. Cranberry Counting Lacing beads to make our necklaces for the feast on Friday! Our class will be dressed like Native Americans.
They sorted animals depending on whether they had two legs or four legs. Have you ever seen anyone so cute in a coonskin cap? They were patterning together! Don't you wonder what her thought process is while placing the eggs exactly where she wants them? I just love their clever minds! Everything they do has a purpose. There is always room for one more friend at the easel. We made clean mud today! They were fascinated that mud could be clean. LOL Tape Art with Watercolor
We made leaf people/creatures in our journals. Did you know that they can peel an orange? Look at the muscles in his hands at work. This is such a great fine motor strengthening activity. It's the simplest things sometimes that we can allow them to do and may not even realize are so effective for our children and their development. They are so capable and amazing! Pour Painting Over Pinecones Feather Snipping You know it's serious stamping when they do it doubled handed!
This week we are all about the farm and seasons. We painted with tractors, did an experiment with milk, washed farm animals, patterned with farm animals, read books about the farm and too much more to name. Enjoy the pictures!
Vehicle Sorting Name writing on the easel Today we put on our baker's hats and made cornbread. We talked about veterinarian's and put on a puppet show. We sorted goldfish on a graph and they told me which had the most/least. We also talked about how some of them had equal amounts. Our birthday tree has one more beautiful ornament. It's turning into a beautiful work of art. Happy Birthday A!
Despite the rain we had a marvelous day! We continued our study of turkey's. We did the turkey pokey and discussed what the wattle is on a turkey. They also experimented with baking soda and vinegar to make volcanoes. They were so amazed at what happens when you mix the two together. They know that this is how scientists acquire new knowledge. Happy Birthday sweet A! We had some yummy cupcakes to celebrate.
This week we will focus on the letter V and out theme is turkey's. Today we did a vehicle sort, matched cars with numbers to their parking space, painted with corn, read several books and several turkey activities.
![]() Our costume parade and class party were so much fun! I hope you and your kiddos enjoyed it as much as I did! Thank you so much to the parents that planned the party. You all did an amazing job! You are a great group of parents. It's obvious why all of your children are so amazing! The apple doesn't fall too far from the tree. |
