Today we finished up with our apple unit. We read about a hedgehog and his apple trouble, wrote numbers in applesauce (this is a great sensory experience), paired up with friends and painted with apples by rolling them around in boxes and sorting apples by big and small in our journals. Have a great weekend!

Apple week is always lots of fun. We: read a book about the life cycle of an apple, sang a song about the parts of an apple, tasted and graphed our favorite kind of apple, did a little apple math by rolling a die and counting out that many apples, cork painted and used our fine motor muscles to cover dots on an apple with pipettes. I sure do hope they are enjoying their days at school. I know I sure am. God bless! ![]() Last Friday we finished off our senses week. Story stones helped us to tell the story of brown bear and all that he sees. We sang the five senses song again and they know it very well. We used our sense of sight and hearing do some gross motor movements. Also we used our sense of touch to feel objects in our feely box and guess the contents. We made sticky square collages and so much more. Ask them if they remember how many senses they have and what they are. Have a lovely evening!
This week is all about the five senses. We read a book about them, sang a catchy song to help us remember, made shapes with scented play-do, painted on sandpaper and had a visit from Mr. Tom that shared with us all about some pretty neat animals.
We had a fantastic frog day learning about frogs. Today we: read about their life cycle, sang about them, hopped like them and measured how far we hopped, put on webbed gloves and painted while color mixing yellow and blue, graphed whether we would kiss a frog or not, used our hand muscles to squeeze pipettes and fill frog suction grips and so much more. I imagine they were exhausted. Our days are packed full. I truly hope you enjoy these pictures and a small glimpse into your child's day.
