I know it's just one more thing to think about but you are truly expanding their vocabulary and building their confidence among their peers. There are so many benefits to this activity. They are able to guess what is in the box at least ninety percent of the time. They are truly impressive! Making the letter S How high can I get this tower? We predicted whether items would sink or float and then tested it. We examined the inside of a pumpkin, read this book and talked about the life cycle of a pumpkin.
Happy Birthday L! We had such a fun day! We are studying pumpkins this week. We painted with pumpkins, bowled with them, balanced marbles on them, hammered tees into them, counted pumpkin seeds and read a story about them. Friday will bring more pumpkin fun as we will: measure with them, cut one open and examine it, discuss the pumpkin life cycle and read more about them. Thank you so much for the pumpkin donations! This allows such rich experiences for your children and I truly appreciate it. H: "Look at my rainbow." Loose parts are moveable materials that are easy for children to manipulate and use during their play! They are important because it fosters creativity, offers endless possibilities and encourages open ended learning. Night and Day Sorting Activity They did a dinosaur dig. We used eye droppers with warm water and salt to get the dinosaurs out of the ice. They were so patient and determined. We talked about how scientists sometimes have to work long and hard to acquire new knowledge.
Today we did a lesson about density. We talked about how scientists use special tools when they investigate. We talked about what nocturnal means and sponge painted a bat scene..
