What a fantastic day we had today! It started with chapel and the story of David and Goliath, then we did some candy corn science, math and art. Next was show and tell followed by the feast. Your children are going to be exhausted! I'm going to miss them over the break. Please give them a hug daily for me. I'm off to Oklahoma to spend Thanksgiving with my mother-in-law. I hope you all have a peaceful and blessed Thanksgiving! Eating a turkey leg and making a phone call! This week we are focusing on Thanksgiving and lots of corn activities. We have so much to be thankful for and we are talking about that together. I want to thank each of you for sharing your beautiful children with me. It is truly a blessing to me to see them and all of you each school day. Here are some pictures of our day yesterday. This week our focus is on everything farm. We read a book about the farm, sang a farm song, did a milk experiment, graphed farm animals painted with farm animals and so much more. There just isn't enough time two days a week to do everything we need to do. Sorting horses Washing animals Putting money in a penny bank. This is a great fine motor activity. Putting together a farm floor puzzle. YAY! We did it! For the milk experiment we put drops of food coloring into a dish of milk and then dipped a toothpick with dish soap on the end into it. They were fascinated as the colors spread away from each other. Science is so much fun! If you get a chance try this at home. It never gets old. We talked about how scientists try things over and over and this is how they do their research to prove or disprove a hypothesis. Graphing farm animals Farm animal painting (by the way there is nothing we won't paint with)
