Rainbow tracing the number zero in their journals Tracing hands in the writing center They are already making friends They are never to young to start learning to type. At this age, half of them are probably faster at typing than me. I'm only half kidding! They are learning to pour their own water. I am really big on teaching them independence. This is why I ask that THEY: bring their frog in to me in the morning, get their own lunch boxes at lunch, clean up the classroom, throw their own lunch and snack trash away, etc. I realize as parents it's habit to do for them and we enjoy doing for them. Trust me I know with my two boys, but they are so capable. We read this book today and talked about the parts of the book. This gave me quite a chuckle today! If you could only have seen some of their faces when I asked them if they would kiss a frog. We talked about which had the most and which had the least. This was a masterpiece created by O and T. There was a lot of thought put into making it. They were so proud and gave me permission to take a picture of it.

Love seeing this! You are so right about how they are more capable than we realize. Thank you for sharing!
